"Dead Bee," Tradigital NFT Artwork, speaks to Colony Collapse Disorder and the dying off of the bee population worldwide. These creations and other traditional art and exhibits stem from my investigation of how rising CO2 levels contribute to the die-off of bees. Researchers found that rising levels of CO2 in the atmosphere from manufacturing have caused a dramatic reduction of protein in pollen. The lack of protein in this vital food source for honey bees has reduced their reproduction ability significantly. This reduction in bees will considerably impact food resources; bees help provide approximately 60% of man's agricultural foods.

CONTEXT
This work stems from repetitive dreams filled with anxiety and despair — often lost in what I perceive as a menacing urban area. I struggle to find my way back home amongst dark buildings. An all too familiar sense of foreboding and anxiety is moving through and backtracking an ever-changing montage of streets, alleyways, and buildings.
Dreams have often influenced my work; however, trying to capture the imagery and emotion of the dream can prove elusive. Sometimes as I work on painting the imagery and feeling of the dream, I lose the concept of what I am trying to portray. In a way, it is similar to waking from a dream and having firm details of it, and then within a few minutes, it begins to fade, and my memory of it dissolves into only fragmented glimpses of its content. Is there a correlation between dreaming and creating visual art?
